On 16 November 2010 it was announced that Prince
William and his long-term girlfriend
Kate Middleton were to marry.
Kate Middleton spent her last night as a single woman from
The Goring
hotel. She left there to travel to Westminster Abbey in a wedding
dress designed by Sarah Burton.
Prince William and Catherine Middleton became The Duke and
Duchess of Cambridge on marriage.
What time is the Royal Wedding?
The Royal Wedding marriage service took place at 11am
BST / 10 am
GMT on 29 April 2011 in
Westminster Abbey, London.
This is the 15th royal wedding to have taken place in
Westminster Abbey since it was
founded in 960AD.
Royal Wedding Timetable
11am (10am GMT): Marriage Service at Westminster Abbey
12.15pm (11.15am GMT) Bride and Bridegroom, followed by Royal Party,
travel in horse drawn carriages from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace.
1.15pm (12.15pm GMT) Bride & Groom appear on the balcony at Buckingham
Palace
1.30pm (12.30pm GMT) Fly past
